With our head office in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, our area of operation covers the whole of the South East of England. Our projects range from a few thousand pounds to several million, through a variety of different procurement routes including partnering.

New World Builders was established in 1989 as a family company, combining the energies, enthusiasm and expertise of a father and his three sons; all expert craftsmen in their own right.

Throughout its history the company has maintained a strong focus on its differentiating service vision: openness, professional integrity and a passionate resolve to deliver the highest quality product at the most cost effective price. As a consequence, the company has developed a strong reputation resulting it becoming a primary building and maintenance contractor for a large number of blue chip clients.

From the very outset, the company’s development has been founded on a strong reputation for quality delivery and a flexible approach to client and project demands. Working in four main sectors – new build, refit and refurbishment, maintenance and small works – New World Builders has successfully completed a broad range of construction projects for both small clients as well as the larger multinationals.

Tom Fearey

Chairman / Sales Director

Building and Construction has been in the Fearey family for 5 generations. Tom trained as a bricklayer under the tutelage of his father. After working for a number of companies progressing to a Site Agent and then on becoming a Director. In 1989, he decided to put his years of expertise to use and founded New World Builders together with his three sons.

Although Tom has now retired, he still takes a healthy interest in the running of the company. He still enjoys building client relationships and ensuring that clients are satisfied with the standard of works.

In his spare time, Tom enjoys fishing and watching football and travelling to Norfolk and Cyprus.

Stephen Fearey

Managing Director

Stephen has a wealth of practical experience gained from over 35 years experience in the construction Industry. Initially he learned his trade as a carpenter and completed his apprenticeship. He quickly progressed to Site Supervisor and then to Contracts Manager. In these roles Stephen learnt virtually all aspects of the industry.

Stephen joined his father and brothers in setting up New World Builders in 1989. His role as Managing Director, means that he is responsible managing the strategic aspects of the company’s development and direction. In addition to this, Stephen also heads up the Major Contracts and Design & Build Divisions. Under his direction, his team of Senior Contracts Managers are responsible for major refurbishments and new builds for multi-site chains including Lidl, Access Self Storage, Halfords and Safestore. Project values range from £500,000 to £4 million.

Stephen manages key client relationships and takes ultimate responsibility for the financial aspects of the company’s tendering process.

Stephen enjoys playing and watching football, playing golf, fitness training and travelling.

Robert Fearey

Maintenance & Marketing Director

Robert brings a wealth of knowledge and skill gained from over 30 years experience in building maintenance and refurbishment. Having completed his apprenticeship (City & Guilds) he set up and ran his own company prior to joining his father and brothers at New World Builders.

Robert heads up the Maintenance Division, ensuring that our service team provide our clients with stores and branches remain operational at all times. With his excellent customer care skills, Robert ensures that the Maintenance Division provide timely attendance, first time fix, excellent service and value for money, thereby adhering to our clients KPIs.

In addition to his ‘hands-on’ team and management skills, Robert is also responsible for Property Development within the company, having successfully developed a number of projects including new build houses and apartments.

Robert’s has built strong client relationships over the years and is always seeking new business opportunities and projects.

In his spare time Robert enjoys watching football (particularly Spurs as a season ticket holder), going to the gym and spending time with family and friends as well as travelling to Dubai, Spain and Cyprus.

David Fearey

Small Works Director

David has over 30 years experience in the construction industry. After leaving school, David learned his trade as a roofer. He undertook all aspects of roofing while working for Wedge Roofing.

David joined the family business in 1989 and heads up the Small Works Division which covers projects from £1000 to £500,000. David manages the team of contracts managers and ensures that all stages of the job are completed to a high standard and in a timely manner.

David’s skills enable him to build effective relationships with clients. His hands-on approach ensures his team remains motivated and focused on delivering excellence.

David enjoys watching football, fishing, going to the gym and travelling.
